How to get better WIFI coverage in your home

If you have spotty wifi coverage in your home, you might want to consider turning a spare router into a wireless access point.  (WAP) This way you have two points within the home to connect.  I turned an old 802.11G router into a WAP using these instructions:

It was easy and now have great coverage throughout the house without spending a dime.  Downstairs our wifi devices connect to an "N" router while upstairs these same devices connect to the old "G" router as it is located on the 2nd floor.  Make sure you turn ON security of both routers and don't attempt this if you only have a novice understanding on how a LAN/WAN operate.
