Dish Network now offers a commercial skip technology via their new Hopper DVR system. This is not a fast forward feature it completely skips over the commercials. Read more about it by clicking here.

Auto Hop is a great option for consumers to have. If I didn’t already have a Hopper in my house as an employee beta tester for Dish, I’d definitely be getting one now. The simple choice to having commercials automatically skipped over during my DVRd shows if I want is awesome. If I’m on a short time-frame, this is perfect; I can squeeze an hour long show into forty-five minutes, or a half hour sitcom down to twenty-two.
