I am tired of paying $70/mo for my DirecTV service. My family only watches 10-12 of the 250+ channels of service. I called DirecTV and they dropped my rate down to $62/mo. I think that is still $30 too high. So, I am going to cancel service on November 12th which is when my contract is up.
Internet TV is all the rage. We have a netflix subscription already. Maybe we can go Internet TV starting November 13th? Now until then, I am going to research, review, and post what Internet TV options are out there. Stay tuned.

ReplyDeleteI got an LG Blu-ray DVD for Xmas last year. I've been running streaming Netflix ever since and love it. A great selection of newer movies, TV series, and Starz has its own selection.
ReplyDeleteStreaming over my RTC 6mg DSL has not been a problem, and shows are often in HD (although not Dolby Digital).
As to cable, I went with Dish Network when RTC started offering it, with a $40/mth pk that I'm happy with.
